Not medical advice
Hallowed Ink provides general information about tattoo aftercare, healing and safety. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Seek medical attention if you notice spreading redness, warmth, swelling, pus, fever, red streaks or severe or worsening pain, or if you have an allergic reaction to ink. People who are pregnant or immunocompromised, or who have diabetes, bleeding disorders or skin conditions, should consult a doctor before getting tattooed.
Ink and product safety
In the United States, the FDA has not approved any tattoo pigment for injection into the skin, and ink formulations vary. Mentions of products such as adhesive healing films are general descriptions, not endorsements. Ask your artist which products they use and follow their instructions.
Prices, pain and sizes are estimates
Price ranges, session times, pain ratings, minimum sizes and healing times are typical estimates produced with our methodology. Your experience and your artist's quote can differ by a wide margin.
Symbolism and culture
Symbol meanings vary between cultures, communities and individuals. We describe common interpretations; we can't guarantee how others will read a tattoo. Some symbols carry religious significance or have been used by specific groups in specific contexts. Consider this carefully before choosing a design.
Trademarks
Any film, character, brand or product names are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only. Hallowed Ink is independent and not affiliated with them.
